Ballymoney had the majority of the attacking play, with Gayle Adams playing well at centre back making great forward runs.

The second quarter had a shaky start following a facial injury to Ballymoney defender Adams, but the Money girls regrouped and started making some great play involving midfield transferring.

The defence worked well together and kept any threats from the Ards team at bay, the score at half time remained even.

The third quarter saw Ballymoney play some of the best hockey they played all season, forwards Kathryn Knipe, Aine Kearney and Sue Ruddock all worked very hard to make runs for the midfield. Ballymoney welcomed back Sammy Jo into goals for a special visit, Greer and McCachon both played very well at the back.

Ballymoney ended the match strongly, Cleland, Nelson and Parke connected together and had great attacking opportunities. A pass from Parke found Lauren Barr open on the side, who dribbled it into the circle and found Nelson who dodged the Ards defence and slotted the ball into the corner to end the match 1-0 to Ballymoney.
