Local karate coach organises anti-bullying seminar

Ballymena North Business and Recreation Centre is the venue for a unique anti-bullying for children from age 5 years and older later this year.

International Coach Mr Iain Abernethy from Cumbria will do a 90 minute seminar to coach youngsters in both verbal and physical skills geared to dealing with the bully. The date of the seminar is Saturday 2nd November 2013. Training times are 11am to 12.30pm.

Organiser of the seminar is well known karate coach Mr Dan Redmond.

He explained that a similar seminar was held in 2012 and it was a great success. Since then he has been inundated with requests to host another similar seminar.

Dan pointed out that in having Mr Iain Abernethy in attendance the seminar participants will enjoy being coached by one of the best.

Dan further explained that he himself was often bullied as a child at school and then later in the workplace.

These days parents are often distressed that their child is often being subjected to bullying.

Dan said that this is the opportunity for parents to help their child to cope and deal with the regular despicable act of bullying.

All seminar attendees will receive a signed certificate.

The seminar is open to all children 5 years or older. Pre-booking is necessary.
