Local martial artists excel in Spain

Cullybackey woman Angela continued her good run of form defeating a tough Spanish fighter & securing Gold in the Women’s -65kg section.

Tenyear old Ahoghill lad Robbie Wilson, a P6 pupil at Randalstown Central, defeated England’s J Scott in the Boys U12 -42kg semi final to set up an exciting final against another talented young English fighter D Oscar.

Robbie showed his class controlling the fight with his movement & stopped his opponent in the second round scoring heavily with a succession of well timed head kicks to seal the victory.

Both fighters were delighted to add European Open Kickboxing Gold to their ever growing medal collection & would like to thank their coach Naiem Qureshi for his continued support & guidance.
