The players have also benefitted from a major input from Ulster Rugby Academy staff including Elite Player Development Manager, Allen Clarke, and Academy Ulster Schools Coach Brian McLaughlin.

Cameron will now have his eye on making the starting XV for Saturday’s series opener against Connacht at Ravenhill (1.30pm kick off).

The squad will then host Leinster Schools at Belfast Harlequins RFC on 14th September before travelling to play Munster Schools on 21st September.

The Ulster Schools squad, sponsored by Danske Bank, finished as runners up in the 2012 series and this year’s group will be hoping to improve on that achievement.

The squad, who finished runners up in last season’s inter-provincial series, have already faced Crdiff Academy, suffering a 36-19 defeat.

Last week they also faced off against Sale Sharks Academy U18s in their second warm up match after a busy summer training at UUJ.
