Locals win in Dumfries
A BALLINDERRY rink lifted the Short Mat World Fours title at Dumfries in Scotland last weekend.
Ron Stubbs, Gordon Stubbs, Keith Morrison and Raymond Stubbs finished with a narrow 10-9 win over England, having won all their games in the tournament.
The "icing on the cake'' was the fact Ireland had last won the fours title since 2002, but it all changed with a superb performance from the Ballinderry quartet.
Ballinderry have had many successes through the years but this must surely rank as the best ever.
