London Marathon debut for Jacqueline

Rathcoole runner Jacqueline Briers, a member of the County Antrim Harriers, made her marathon debut at the Virgin London Marathon at the weekend.

She enjoyed an excellent race, passing the halfway stage at Tower Bridge in a very respectable 2:18:13. And, after a gruelling 26.2 miles in the warm and humid conditions, she reached the finish line on The Mall in 4:43:10.

Jacqueline has been a member of County Antrim Harriers for just six months and this excellent result is just reward for all her endeavours in training.
