Loughgall game in doubt

LIMAVADY United's next game is home to Loughgall this Saturday although that is now in doubt with the JJB Irish Cup fiasco still continuing.

The IFA still haven't made a decision about who will go through to play Loughgall from the Newry City - Larne game which was abandoned.

Unfortunately this is now affecting more clubs than just the two involved in the abandonment.

United and Loughgall have already met earlier in the season with the Co. Armagh winning a five goal thriller. Loughgall are currently second in the Ladbrokes.com Championship two points behind the Roesiders.

Niall Currie's men do have a game in hand over Limavady however but it has not been scheduled yet.

They have scored eight less goals but have conceded only fourteen compared to Limavady's twenty in the league. Their last fixture saw them draw nil nil away at Ballinamallard last weekend in the Championship. In their previous six fixtures before last weekend they have won five and only drawn one game.

Manager Oran Kearney is looking forward to this game and so are his players: "It's a top of the table class and to be honest I expect tit to be just like the DC game. The big games are were any player worth their salt want to be playing and I'm sure mine do.

"We want to be involved in these types of games rather than being cannon fodder for teams like DC and Loughgall.

"We want to make sure that we are still in the mix with four or five games to go and that's what we will be setting out to do.

"We want the big games to be coming thick and fast because that is were we want to be and that is what we are all about," he said.

Going into the game United are expected to be without Shane Jennings and Ciaran Clarke due to other commitments.

However there are no other injury worries for Limavady as they seek to extend their lead at the top of the Ladbrokes.com Championship.
