Lumford go top of table with win over Islandmagee

THIS week saw The Lumford take top position in the league with an 8–0 victory against Islandmagee. C. McGarry had legs of 18 & 14-darts and Checkouts of 88 (20: T18: D7) & 62 (T10: D16) for the Lumford while P. McClure had a two-dart checkout of 76 (T20: D8) and S. Robertson had a checkout of 62 (T10: D16).

In the first of three 6 – 2 results Gers ‘B’ were the victors over the No. 1 Club ‘B’. The Gers’ R. Miller had legs of 19 & 17-darts he also hit 180. The second result saw L.T.O.B. win against Whitehead Rangers. A. Lyness had a leg of 18-darts for the Old Boys.

The third result saw Gers ‘A’ beat Ballylumford with J. McCourt notching a leg of 18-darts and also hitting 180. J. Hastings had a checkout of 97 (T19: 20: D10), for Ballylumford and B. McDermott had a leg of 18-darts he also hit 180 and had a two-dart checkout of 96 (T20: D18).

No. 1 Club ‘A’ were 5 – 3 winners against Rangers ‘B’, for the Rangers D. Ward had a leg of 18-darts.

In a second 5 – 3 scoreline, Larne Legion were the victors over the Vandevelles, for the Legion B. Jamison had a two-dart checkout of 96 (T20: D18).

There were no match cards returned for the games between the Football Club v St. John’s while St. Comgall’s recorded a 6 – 2 victory over v Blue Bars.
