The 11-year-old badminton player recently claimed the Irish Under 13 Singles, Doubles and Mixed title in Dublin, to end his season on a winning note.

Magee, whose big cousin Chloe Magee, played for Ireland at two Olympic games in Beijing and London, participated in the Catalunya Open recently and he has just received word that he has been selected to play for Ireland again, this time at U15 level, at the Quadrangular tournament, in Dublin, in May.

The Quadrangular event will see the best players from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland compete in both a team and individual event.

This is a great opportunity for Irish players to prove themselves against some of the best players in UK who are breaking through on the European stage.

The Quadrangular event will be held in the Baldoyle Badminton Centre on the weekend of the 3rd, 4th & 5th May.

The Irish under 15 coaches were pleased with the commitment and effort of the players in the squad sessions and are keen to see this group of players progress further going into the new year.

Meanwhile with the Badminton Ireland Academy and the upcoming Teicnic summer camp there is a great opportunity for underage badminton players to continue to improve in the 2013/2014 season.
