Maghery and Annaghmore players on show in Armagh defeat

Maghery and Annaghmore players lined out for Armagh on Sunday in the five-point defeat to Meath.

Annaghmore’s Matthew McNeice was between the posts for the 1-10 to 0-8 reverse in the opening Division Two test.

Maghery had Stefan Forker and Aidan Forker on show in the starting line-up - with the former posting a point and the latter sent off following a second yellow card.

Oisin MacIomhair of Annaghmore was also part of the Orchard County panel.

It was 0-8 to 1-4 in Armagh’s favour at the interval.

However, Armagh struggled to post on the scoreboard in the second half and Miceal McKenna suffered a black card following Forker’s dismissal.

Armagh will now play host to Laois at The Athletic Grounds.
