Magilton and Jennings for Lisburn

JOHN McCollum, McDonald's Sprucefield franchisee is reminding everyone who wants to participate in a fun football festival and meet Northern Ireland legends Pat Jennings and Jim Magilton to come and visit the McDonald's Football Open Day on Saturday at Laurelhill Sports Zone from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

The Open Day is a free event for people to enjoy a day of footballing fun and is being carried out in conjunction with Lisburn Wanderers FC.

It provides an opportunity for local children to receive free football coaching, play fun games and mini tournaments, meet some football heroes and find out how to get involved with a local football club.

The event is taking place on Saturday, August at Laurelhill Sports Zone, running from 10am until 4.00pm, and McDonald's is encouraging members of the public to come along and participate in a day of fun-filled footballing activities.

The Open Day is an extension of McDonald's continuing support of grassroots football throughout the UK. As part of a policy of 'More Football For All' McDonald's has committed to coach another one million children, support 400,000 volunteers in football, train 30,000 coaches by 2014 and support over 6,000 football clubs throughout the UK
