'MAIL' Man of the Match

GARY Hamilton gave a strong debut performance in an otherwise frustrating afternoon for Glenavon and, for me, was the best player in a blue shirt.

The 30-year-old played in an attacking role just behind striker Tony Grant and Mark Miskimmin and linked up the play well with some nice touches to move the ball on quickly.

Hamilton also immediately showed his ability to pick out a clever pass and his set-pieces will prove to be a big asset to the side with several of his corner-kicks causing big problems in Coleraine’s penalty area.

In defence, goalscorer Mark Haughey put in a solid performance, as did Brendan Shannon whilst Stuart King had a very lively first half before, struggling with injury, he faded in the second. Adrian Harper also put in another tenacious midfield performance.
