Malone take maximum

Malone got a major boost in Private Greens Senior Three when they took all seven points from a 38.25 shots home win over Nortel.

After starting with a four Terry Monro was 9-2 ahead at the sixth and Malone maintained the advantage to win by eight shots against the only four-man Nortel rink.

Brian Cheyne was 5-7 down at the sixth but came back to level 21-21 at the finish and when the opposition was quartered Malone won by 5.25 shots.

Just ahead 7-6 early on Frazer Thompson got on top to finish at 26-22 and after quartering Malone won by 9.5 shots.

Level 6-6 at the sixth Eric Mairs pulled well ahead and after quartering Malone were again winners by 15.5 shots.
