Mark proves he's king of the Castle with Antrim win
Mark McKinstry was a clear winner in the male open recording a personal best with Pauline Thom finishing 3rd lady and Conor Shiels also recording a personal best.
The popular event attracted an impressive field of 697 runners and it was indeed McKinstry who took up a familiar front running role from the off. He was tailed closely by William McKee of Mourne Runners before a decisive break away at 8k saw him open what ultimately proved to be a winning lead when he came home with a 10 second advantage in 31mins 46secs.
