It continues what to date has been a great season for the gifted Glenwherry man, who took up running seven years ago.

It was, however, 12 months ago when Mark joined Fit N Running that his athletics career took an upward curve, which has seen him put together a year-long string of personal best performances at all distances from 5k to the marathon.

Mark has made a seamless transition in adapting to the Ballymena club’s modern training methods and has a positive attitude which brings the best out of his club mates on training nights.
