Massive game for Whites

LISBURN Distillery's bid to leapfrog Institute could be boosted this weekend if the Whites win the basement battle at Drumahoe.

It is a huge game for Tommy Wright's men who produced their best performance for some time last weekend to defeat Coleraine.

Back to back wins on the road would certainly transform the situation at New Grosvenor which has been grim since the opening day of the season.

"A draw is not the end of the road by any means, but we are going up there aiming for the victory," says Wright. "If we want to put some pressure on Institute then beating them is the best way to do it. They have a string of tough games coming up against the top teams so there is still a lot that can happen from here on in."

Wright was delighted with the effort and performance at Coleraine. "The dressing room was buzzing after the game because the players knew at last they had clicked. I told them they should be really looking forward to the next match after playing like that.

"It has been a tough season but I still feel we have a chance to get off the bottom spot. To do that, we certainly can help ourselves by winning again. If we can repeat the same performance as last Saturday we should be okay."
