Matchplay titles settled

AFTER a number of months Lurgan's two annual matchplay titles have been settled.

The finals were played last week and they proved to be very close affairs.

In the Club Cup Kevin McKavangh became champion at the expense of Mark O’Neill. There was little between them but a par on the last hole settled the issue in Kevin’s favour.

In the Club Fourball the pairing of John Horan and Martin Drain emerged victorious.

Again matters were only settled on the seventeenth hole before brothers Malachy and Barrai McConville conceded defeat by 2/1.
