Matthew hones his skills at Ulster Rugby camp

Matthew Dennison (12), from Monkstown, was presented with a certificate by Ulster Rugby players Johann Muller and John Afoa at the Harlequins RFC Centra Ulster Rugby Summer Camp recently in recognition of his playing skills.

Matthew joined dozens of other local children at the five-day camp to learn new skills and meet visiting rugby heroes. All participants received a Summer Camp boot bag with t-shirt, rugby ball and a voucher to claim a free ticket to an Ulster game at Ravenhill.

Ulster Rugby Summer Camps are taking place at 15 locations province-wide this summer and will cater for more than 1,000 children.

While most of the Summer Camps are for children aged 6-12, the ever-popular Senior Camp - aimed at boys and girls aged 13-17 years old with previous rugby experience and focusing on the technical, tactical, physical, mental and lifestyle aspects of the game - will run out of the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in August.

Places may still be available at a number of the remaining Summer Camps. For further information or to register (£50 for junior camps and £80 for senior camps, with a discount if a child attends more than one camp) email [email protected] or telephone 028 9049 3111.
