Mayor welcomes Special Olympics gold medal winner Carole Catling

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, councillor Thomas Hogg, expressed his delight at Carole’s recent success.
“Carole was the only athlete from the borough to qualify for the games and earlier in the year was awarded Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability at the Newtownabbey Sports Awards. She is an incredibly talented athlete and we look forward to hearing about more of her successes in the future.”

“We are all incredibly proud of Carole and delighted she has brought another gold medal back to the Borough,” added councillor Hogg.
