INSTITUTE received a massive boost going into tomorrow's (Saturday) crucial Carling Premiership encounter with Lisburn Distillery, after youngster Joe McCready signed a new deal.

The striker who has made a huge impact since breaking into the first team recently, will be staying at Drumahoe until June 2013 after signing a professional contract last night.

Boss John Gregg is delighted that the ex-Westbank United frontman has decided to pledge his future with the Drumahoe men.

"Joe has only played half-a-dozen or so games and he knows he still has a lot to learn, but he has done fantastically well for us," he said.

"I know Joe had attracted attention from a few other Irish League Premiership clubs, but he's decided to stay with us and I'm delighted about that.

"It's great that the club have now got him tied up for three years, in my opinion it's exactly what we need to do.

"We have quite a few other young players who are starting to break into the first team squad, so the future's certainly looking bright."
