McFaul Cup at Bushfoot

ONE of Bushfoot Golf Club's most sought after prize is the McFaul Cup.

Six handicap golfer Kenny Gault got his hands on the cup on Sunday with his score of 39 points. I met the ever modest Kenny on Monday at Royal Portrush Golf Cub where he had to be pushed into admitting he had won the ‘Big One’.

Kenny only had one point to spare as Jason Campbell weighed in with 38 off his eight handicap for runner-up spot and Nick Purce (12) from Ballyclare chased them hard with his 37. This was matched by Roe Park’s G Thompson, also off 12, who took the Visitor’s Prize.A good return of 73 saw Alistair McIlroy secure best gross.

Fearne McKenna was top of the Ladies table after posting her 33 stableford points from her mark of 28.
