McFlynn wins five-bird trophy
TWO members of Castledawson HPS sent six birds to the Fermoy - 5 Bird Specialist Race. Due to adverse weather liberation was delayed until 11am Sunday 17th.
Congratulations to S. McFlynn, who timed his only entry at 3.30pm, to lose his novice status and win the 5 Bird trophy in this his first season, racing a very small team.
Result: 1, S. McFlynn, 1288.09 YPM flying 198 miles 248 yards; 2 - T and S Dawson, 1265.87 YPM; 1259.27YPM; 4, 1162.44YPM; 1162.24.
This is only the first of many wins, as I hear he is training a very strong team of young birds, so watch out for this new comer in the future.
