McVeigh wins Radisson Cup

THE Radisson Cup was contested at Roe Park over Thursday and Saturday last week, with the winner coming from the Thursday event - a fine 44 points rattled up by Martin McVeigh.

Ronnie Millican, playing on the Saturday, recorded the same total but was edged into second place on the traditional count back. Wallace Blair took third place with 42 points, whilst Ricky Cochrane again took the gross with 35 gross points. Ross McMullan and Douglas McAllister both had impressive split scores on the course, taking the front and back nines with 23 points each side of the turn.

This weekend sees the Trustess Cup Fourball Better Ball being run on both the Thursday and the Saturday, with Captain Noel McClarey having an invite day on the Friday.

The Player of the Year competition continues to be run throughout the summer and it is being hotly contested at the top with names such as David Gault, Ricky Cochrane, Conor Kelly, Kevin Boyd and Brian Cooper just a few of the many names stillo in with a shout of landing the top prize.
