He then produced the performance of the day when he decimated the field with a blistering display to haul the Harriers back into the race passing on in 2nd place 10 meters off the front. His team mates stuck to their task and retained 2nd and a well earned podium place.

Mark McKinstry going in the senior mens team produced another personal best performance over 2 miles on leg 3 as the Harriers claimed 3rd place. Marks is no stranger to winning races, though this however is his first medal at Northern Ireland senior level.

For good measure North Belfast harriers claimed 1st place in the Mens Masters event
