Meet the Ballymoney squad to play in derby final

Sam Kyle – Prop/Hooker. Played for Dalriada last year and has an excellent work rate. Man of the match in semi – final

Mathew Blair – Prop. Big Mathew has been a stalwart this year and is known to put his size to good effect coming up with a number of important tries

David Watson – Hooker. Has a lot of experience and won the Gordon West and Towns Cup for the 1st XV at Ravenhill

Michael Allen – 2nd row/Flanker. Currently in second row as the key lineout man and effective in attack and defence. Product of the youth system at the club

Ryan Clyde – 2nd row. Experienced player having been in the 1st XV squad for a number of years. Good ball carrier and will be keen to start well having come off the bench in the Towns Cup final.

Curtis Mongomery – Hooker/Flanker. Curtis puts his head in places nobody else would. Tackles everything and leads from the front. Played mostly backrow this season but hooked for the 1st XV on occasion.

Garvin Bellingham – Flanker. A typical openside. Hardworking, first to the breakdown and will always win the team turnovers. Winner of the Player of the Year the past 2 years.

James Bellingham – Flanker/No8. Brother of Captain John. A very effective ball carrier and a hard man to stop. Excellent first up tackles and is a talisman in the forwards.

William Hazlet – 2nd Row. Does a lot of the unseen hard work in the tight. Good winner of the ball on the ground and a big man to stop going forward. Came off the bench to good effect in the semi.

Jonathan Brewster – Flanker. The most experienced man on the team. Played for the 4th XV for most of the season but when asked upon this year did an excellent job for the 2’s. Past Captain of the 2’s and will bring good advice to the team

Stuart Nevin – Scrum Half. 2nd year of senior rugby and has filled in a number of times for the 1st XV. Scored in the semi-final and has the experience to make the right decisions on the pitch

David Calvin – Outhalf/Centre. Davy is a past Captain of the both the 2nd XV and 1st XV. Part of the 1st XV who won the Gordon West Cup at Ravenhill. He can control the game and gets the backline moving. Has an excellent step which leads to a good line break!

Chris Clark – Centre. Again part of the 1st XV for a number of years. Showed his good defensive game in the semi and always has an eye for the try line.

Darren Smyth – Centre. Darren played in the Crawford Cup final for Coleraine. Joined Ballymoney 2 years ago and fitted straight in. A good leader on the pitch and the boys will look to him for inspiration.

Sandy McAuley – Wing. Sandy has electric pace in attack and tackles well above his weight. One of the dangermen on the team and will look to exploit the wide Ravenhill pitch.

Lewis Murphy – Fullback/Wing. Lewis brings the power to the wing. A hard running winger who is hard to stop. As a fullback he can unleash some good kicks.

James Campbell – Wing/Fullback. James is only out of youth rugby 2 years but has impressed on a number of occasions for the 1st XV. As the place kicker he will be looking to keep the score board rolling on Tuesday.

Thomas Skelton Jnr – Outhalf. Came off the bench in the semi-final to close out the game. He has a mature head on young shoulders. Good kicking game and can spot a gap for a try. Natural leader and the Toon will look to help to mix things up if required.

Mathew Dunlop – Scrumhalf/Wing. Versatile young player. Played for Dalriada last year. Excellent skill level and good pace. Can change a game with either his pass or a clear break. Important part of the team this year.
