Home advantage at West Church may tip the scales slightly in favour of the locals. However, East Antrim, with players of the calibre of Stephen McKinley and Eddie Crawford in their side will provide tough opposition.

The Mid Antrim selectors have put together a strong team who will be looking to the experience of Irish internationals Andrew and David Morrison along with Wesley Caldwell, William Morrison, Garfield Lithco and the returning Andy Duncan to skip their rinks to victory.

The team shows a number of positional and personnel changes from last season and it is hoped that the rinks can focus and gel together for this first round tie.

The prize for the winners will be a home tie versus the winners of the Larne v Mid Ulster game.

The Mid-Antrim panel is:

Rink one: D McCullough (Antrim IBC), D Duncan (Second Donegore), A McCullough (BPFA), A Morrison (First Ahoghill).

Rink two: B Russell (Cuningham Memorial), R Rodgers (BPFA), G Wilson (Michelin), A Duncan (Second Donegore).
