Mini Eagles head to Dungannon

DROMORE‘S mini eagles travelled to Dungannon on Saturday were over 200 young boys and girls took part in some great mini Rugby.

P2 and P3 squads hot on their triumph at last weeks Dominos Pizza Blitz in Belfast were keen to get another slice of the action.

Dromore coaches and soon to be playing stars themselves, Hawks Captain Sandra Morton and Vice Captain Clare Allen, watched as their stars of the future scored at will some ropey referring decisions went against the team but Coach Allen had a swift team chat and scoring continued to the final whistle.

P4 and P5 squads were up against stiffer opposition but were able to steady their respective coaches smiles when they too scored at will in each of their matches stars from these games were young James Pepper and Harry Whan in P4 and P5 birthday boy for the week Bradley Steenson - good to see you on Frank’s weather watchers Brad!

P6 coach Steve Wilson was looking exhausted as he manfully battled man flu all morning and picked the best side he could as some players were unable to travel.

Dungannon always big in defence put up a heroic battle to prevent the first try but young Scott Wilson started side stepping his way through the defence and this led to the flood gates opening and secured a great win over the senior team.

Well played boys and girls and thanks to all the parents for travelling to Dungannon. Your roving reporter had to hot foot it to Ophir then Dromore Leisure centre on Saturday so my report is not a full as it should be with more names.

I wonder would Santa give me a few lessons in how to be in several places all at the one time!
