BALLYMONEY 1

Ballymoney got off to a good start against Ulster Elks - one of the most feared teams in the league this season.

The Toon pressed hard and relentlessly won a lot of turn over ball. The game was even, with several counter attacks by each team thankfully saved by Bridget and Jodi on Ballymoney’s behalf.

Well into the first half Diane McNeil crashed a ball ion the circle that Katherine Minihan picked up and pushed towards goal, bounced off the defenders stick and went into the goal.

The second half was much the same, Elks upped their game and pressured Ballymoney more, winning three corners in a row.

From open play Elks crossed the ball into the circle in the air and was batted into the goal in the last seven minutes of play.

Ballymoney did themselves proud and was a fantastic team effort!
