Mixed fortunes for City of Derry bowlers

THE Northern Ireland Provincial Bowling Association Progressive Building Society Senior League saw City of Derry lose twice at both Cookstown and Brookgreen.

In the Progressive Division One second placed Limavady defeated leaders Brooke Park 77-66, in the Progressive Division Two, City of Derry B lost 83-68 to Castlerock while Limavady B were defeated 69-87 at Brookgreen B.

Dungiven defeated Ballycastle 79-56 in the Progressive Division Three, but fellow North West bowlers Lisnagelvin lost 76-57 at Letterkenny.

Tomorrow (Thursday) sees the NIPBA Tripes Round Three take centre stage, while on Friday the Progressive Hyland Donaghy Cup Final sees Letterkenny take on Ballycastle B.

While Limavady host Lisnagarvey in the IBA Senior Cup on Saturday and in the IBA Junior Cup, City of Derry host Portadown and Brooke Park visit Old Bleach. In the Progressive Senor League City of Derry entertain Portglenone.

Next Monday, June 21 the NIPBA Singles Round Three will be down for decision, while next Tuesday night in the Progressive Division One Limavady face Cookstown B and Brooke Park host Magherafelt.

On Wednesday, June 23 in the Progressive Division Two there's a North West derby when Limavady B take on near neighbours City of Derry B, while in the Progressive Division Three Dungiven travel to Portstewart and Lisnagelvin visit Ballycastle B.
