MMA ace Colin ready for return to NI action

BALLYMENA martial arts fighter Colin Robinson is poised to return to action on home soil later this year – with a title at stake.

The local man – known as ‘Big C’ - will face UK UFC veteran Neil ‘Old Skool’ Wain in a title clash at the world famous Kings Hall Complex, Belfast on October 8, with the winner landing the vacant Cage Contender heavyweight title.

Both fighters have high KO rates so it promises to be an eagerly-awaited contest.

Robinson is the only Irish fighter ever to fight in the UFC Heavyweight division and has fought some of the world’s top heavyweights including UFC hall of fame inductee Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn and Eddie ‘Dirty’ Sanchez.

Robinson has not fought in Northern Ireland since March 2008 and is eagerly-awaiting his homecoming. Look out for further details in the coming weeks.
