Monthly medal for Adam

TEN handicapper, Adam Cathers, won Castlerock's Monthly Medal with his seven under par score of 66.

Adam had a handicap shot to spare from his return of 40 for the front nine but he really turned on the style to cover the inward half in one under par gross. This gave him a nett 31 in and a total of 66 to finish two shots in front of Ronnie Mitchell (19) with a nett 68.

Ronnie covered the front nine in gross 41 but found the return leg more trying. A good score nevertheless and second place by himself.

The low section was headed by Paul Loughrey who carded a nett 71 form his mark of 10. Jimmy Templeton appeared on the rostrum again with his nett 73 from his handicap of 17 and another regular, Gareth Dallas (2), took the best gross prize for his 74 which included a one under par front nine of 35.

Top gun for the seniors was Alec Robertson who used his 24 shots well to nett a 79 to take the honours.
