More success for Ballymoney cyclists

It was another successful week for cyclists of Ballymoney Cycling Club.

Ballycastle lad Breandan Flannagan won overall at the prestigious Errigal International Youth Tour over three days in Donegal. George Peden won the Oldcastle GP in Meath, Aaron Swan won the Armoy Road and BCC Road race.

Fifteen year old Cushendall racer Kevin McCambridge set a new schoolboy record on the Finvoy Rd as he won the BCC TT championships.

Elsewhere, David McAvoy in the AG at Omagh triathlon, Meabh Flannagan was the first placed girl at Errigal in the final Letterkenny criterium stage, Pete MacCionaoith was the M50 club gold medal winner and the silver medal overall in the road race championships at Stranocum.

The Under-12 winner was Clark Logan with the U11 winner Jack Hart. The U14 winner was Rowan Montgomery, who also was the white jersey winner at Errigal for the best young rider. In the U16 race the winner was Coleraine lad and talented rugby player Cameron Wallace.

There was Personal Best times in the time trials set by Uel Cunningham, Douglas Hill, Mervyn Brolly, Jordan Campbell and Robbie McElderry.
