MOTORCYCLING: Paul Jordan is Irish 125 champion

Magherafelt’s brilliant rising road racing star Paul Jordan secured the Irish 125 championship title in great style at Killalane ten days ago to further enhance his reputation.

This came just weeks after the mid-Ulster rider had claimed the Ulster 125 championship crown at Armoy in July.

Jordan, enjoying a wonderful year, won three races along the way and had multiple podium position finishes.

The 24 year old Magherafelt man also finished fourth in the Supertwin class after being given the opportunity to ride the B & W/Keys 650 in mid season. He also had three podiums and missed out on an overall top three finish.

Achieving a tremendous fifth placing in the ultra-competitive Supersport 600 Championship event, his first podium finish was secured during this discipline at the Kells Road Races, this aboard the Moira MRC 600 machine.

Motorcycling is, of course, a very expensive pursuit and very many people are involved behind the scenes.

Paul is very grateful to all those who have played a role in getting him to the stage he is at right now: “I would like to thank everybody who has been involved this year and I’m already looking forward to the 2016 season”.
