Czech date for Carrick rider Graeme Irwin

Carrick rider Graeme Irwin will race in the FIM Motocross World Championship at Loket in the Czech Republic at the end of the month (July 26, 27).

The Heads and All Threads Suzuki man competed in the fifth round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Whitby last weekend where he took third in race one, fifth in race two and 10th (despite a crash) in race three.

He is currently fifth in the championship.

The 23-year-old has represented Ireland in the Motocross of Nations on four occasions and also has previous experience in the premier MXGP class and scored world championship points at the recent British round.

“This will be the first time I have had the opportunity of racing in the Czech Republic and I am really looking forward to the event,” he said.

“I understand the track is superb and the hospitality of the Czech people is second to none, so it should be a great weekend.”
