Dunlop joined the Honda TT Legends team this season alongside John McGuinness and went on to claim his maiden Superbike victory at the Isle of Man TT in June.

The 24-year-old from Ballymoney emerged as the dominant force on the Mountain Course in the summer, bagging a double in the Supersport class on Simon Buckmaster’s PTR-prepared CBR6000RR and setting an incredible 131mph lap record in the Superstock race to complete a fabulous four-timer.

However, Dunlop is understood to be considering a big-money switch to Shaun Muir’s Milwaukee Yamaha outfit rather than staying at Honda for a second season.

Yorkshireman Ian Hutchinson has already been confirmed in Muir’s line-up for 2014 and will make his return to action at the Macau Grand Prix next month.

William Dunlop rode in the Milwaukee colours this season but is set to revive his association with Chris Dowd’s CD Racing outfit for the new campaign.

Honda, meanwhile, has expressed an interest in James Hillier, who narrowly missed out on a Senior TT podium this year.
