In Saturday’s sprint race the Mar-Train Yamaha ace won from Graeme Gowland on the Smiths Triumph and with series leader McConnell crashing out, it was a great result for Seeley all round.

“We did a lot of hard work last week at Kirkistown and it paid off today,” he said after the race. “The strong start allowed me to be aggressive from the start of the race and with Billy not scoring we’ve reduced his lead to just 25 points.”

In Sunday’s race, Gowland led off the start from Luke Jones and Jake Dixon with Seeley holding fourth, but the ‘Wee Wizard’ was determined to capitalise on his current form and moved up to third over the opening laps.

Seeley hit the front on the fifth lap and held the lead to the line.

“It has been a dream weekend for me with two wins,” he said.
