Dunlop duo to continue success at Armoy

The Armoy Road Races are pleased to announce local road racing stars Michael and William Dunlop have confirmed their entries for the 2011 races.

Both will no doubt be looking to continue their successes this season and dominate the Armoy circuit once again. With William confirmed to be riding Michaels 125 and 250 bikes that seen him win at the Tandragee 100 earlier this year, and how well he has adapted to his 600cc and superstock bikes, 2011 could well be his year to clean up at the Armoy.

The Armoy Road Races are also delighted to welcome two new sponsors this year, SGS International who will be sponsoring Race 5 – Open Race & Wilsons of Rathkenny who will be sponsoring the Parade Lap.

Clerk of the course Bill Kennedy said: “We are delighted that the Armoy Races are going from strength to strength and with the addition of two high calibre sponsors this year we can only grow even stronger.”

Bill added: “I think everyone will agree that the 2010 Armoy Road Races saw some truly exceptional racing with Keith Amor, who made his Armoy debut and top local riders Michael Dunlop and Ryan Farquar giving spectators an exceptional days racing, which has reignited excitement and enthusiasm for this year’s races.

“We’re confident we can build on that success and continue to attract today’s top road racers.  So all in all, Race Week promises to be a real thrilling spectacle for spectators and racers alike.”
