Dunlop victorious at post TT races
Following the disappointment of two non-finishes in the 600cc races at the TT last week, the Ballymoney rider won Saturday’s Supersport race at the Manx Telecom Post-TT races by almost 23 seconds from Ian Lougher.
Dunlop also smashed the lap record for the class with a speed of 106.709mph for the 4.2-mile Billown circuit near Castletown on his second lap.

Dunlop won his second TT race with a stunning Superstock victory for Kawasaki last Monday evening and was a big favourite to add to his tally in the Supersport races.
However he was forced to pull over twice when leading Monday’s ill-fated 600 race, which was re-run following the tragic death of Derek Brien from County Meath.
There was further misery for Dunlop on Wednesday when he was again forced to retire on the opening lap, but he can reflect on another brilliant triumph at the TT in the big bike class on the Kawasaki ZX-10.
