The 13-year-old won the Davy Wood Scholarship award at the MCUI awards night, for the most promising short circuit racer last year, the late Mr Wood was former manager of Joey Dunlop and countless other top roadracers.

Kerr also won the John Trevor Steele perpetual cup awarded to the best newcomer to racing, both very prestigious awards with a host of top racers names already on the trophies and considering it’s Richard first season on the tarmac.
