Lisburn’s ‘Fast Jonny’ junior becomes triple champion

Competing in the minimoto class and his first season on a junior gearbox bike.

Winning the junior world minimoto title back in March it was back home to do 11 rounds of the Irish domestic championship over the summer months.

Jonny tied up the gearbox class at round 10 with a succession of wins throughout the season to take his second title of the year. But it was the minimoto class that came right down to the last round, which was held at Nutts Corner race track on Sunday October 19, qualifying second on the grid.

Jonny went out fighting to try and win his third title in the form of taking three straight wins to secure the third title of the year and become a triple champion.

With the right support and help from any new sponsors Jonny will be contending the British junior mini gp class for 2015.
