The team’s British Supersport regular and 10-time North West 200 winner Alastair Seeley will be joined in the Mar-Train squad this week by up-and-coming ‘between the hedges’ prospect Dean Harrison.

Seeley said: “I always look forward to the North West as it’s a great place to race in front of our home fans. We are well prepared and there’s a great atmosphere in the team coming to the north coast.

“It’s going to be a tough week with so many quality riders on the grid but my goal is to give Mar-Train Racing their first-ever victory here. Tim has invested in top class machinery and Andy and Boost have prepared great bikes. All we can do now is give our best on the day and enjoy it.”

Dean Harrison, who will join Seeley in the Supersport races on a Mar-Train Racing Yamaha, said: “I’ve had a couple of good tests with the Mar-Train guys and everything is good. I’m looking forward to both races on the R6 and we will see how we go – but yeah all good so far.”

Team Principal Tim Martin concluded: “This year’s North West has been months in the planning. We’ve added two new riders and a number of new bikes that we feel will give Alastair the best possible chance of victory. He has settled in well with us at Mar-Train Racing and we know his pedigree at the North West. It’s just a matter of ticking all the boxes this week in terms of preparation and hopefully that will bring us out on the right side of the results. Dean has also settled in well and is a big prospect for the future. His job is to enjoy himself this week and bring the bike home, but he’s a smart lad with a great racing brain and could surprise a few in the Supersport races.”
