McCormick takes third in Irish MX Championship
Glenn McCormick from Gleno completed his 2012 Irish MX championship at Clonroche, Wexford last week and the Watt motorcycles/Agnew recovery Kawasaki rider ended third in the series in what was his debut season in the MX2 class.
He was in top form at the final meeting taking a flag-to-flag win in his opening two races. His third and final race did not go quite to plan with a bad start giving him a lot of work to do.
Although eighth at the end of lap one, he fought his way through to second at the chequered flag. “I was pleased with my day’s work and I am over the moon to finish third in the championship. I would like to thank everyone who helped this year,” said the teenager.
