Held last year at Bishopscourt, the meeting was one of the best organised and run short circuits of the year.

This year, due to the unavailability of Bishopscourt, the meeting moves to Kirkistown and will have a decent prizefund for riders.

All classes are catered for at Kirkistown, with the feature race of the day, the Neil Robinson Memorial, being held over 12 laps.

The winner here will collect £1200, with £700 and £300 going to the top three respectively.

The winner will also get the Neil Robinson Trophy.

The first 600 bike to finish will collect £300 as well.

In the sidecar class, the Lowry Burton Challenge Trophy will be the main prize, named in honour of the Carrickfergus man who was a multiple championship winner here in Ireland, as well as a TT winner.

I will, of course, have a full report from Kirkistown.

Practice will start at 9am, with racing from 12 noon.

Admission for what promises to be an eagerly-anticipated day of short-circuit racing action is £10/€15.
