The charity competition that took place the following day,had some great craic and banter.Tommy McGrath made a presentation to Henry McGlone, Marie Curie Cancer Care, for the amount of £150. First place in this competition went to Philip Maguire with Brian Bigmore in second. Bradleys Lake is something for the club to be very proud of and deserves respect and care in order for it to remain an excellent asset for the future.Indeed, to this end the lake is now open to Moyola members only while those using it should note that only fly is allowed and there is a total catch and release rule. This is to try and preserve the stocks and thus encourage juvenile members to enjoy the art of fly fishing.

Last competition of another great season, takes place this Saturday. Starting at 10.30am in Castledawson, at stake will be the Gerald McLarnon memorial cup.It is pointed out, that the Gerald Weir trophy for the heaviest brown trout and the Robin McKnight award for the heaviest dollaghan, are still up for grabs. Therefore,it is hoped for a good turn out of members on this final occasion.
