Mullan wins Bann club's road race

CIARAN Mullan, a first year rider, was the winner of the club’s twenty-five miles Road Race last Tuesday night.

Ciaran has placed consistently in the races all season and claimed a deserved victory in the club’s last road race of the season.

Another newcomer to the sport young Damien Hazlett put in a fabulous finish to take second place, this was a fantastic ride by the young man and he will certainly be one to watch out for in the future.

Mark Wilkinson produced another solid ride to take third, as did James Thompson in fifth.

Charlie Wright produced a fast finish to edge out Davy Park for fifth place, Noel Mc Neill was seventh on a fixed wheel, Brian Mc Kinney of Ballymoney CC was eighth, Brian has just recovered from a chest infection and Colm McIlfatrick produced another determined performance to take ninth.

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank the marshals for their services during the race.

Dominic fifth in vets TT

Dominic Drumm lies in fifth place overall in the Ulster Veterans Time Trial League.

The event consists of fifteen time trials with only three events remaining. In the last time trial at Warrenpoint Dominic finished second with a time of 23.32 in conditions that were not conducive to fast times.
