Murray makes his Mark with a last minute winner

The match started fairly evenly with Garvey drawing first blood from a Mark Murray short corner after some excellent approach work by Mark Cockram.
Unfortunately for the visitors, Garvey then conceded almost immediately after a poor midfield turnover.

Matters got worse when Bangor went ahead after another poor turnover and much more of the game was being played in the Garvey half.
Resolute defending and more than a few slices of luck protected the Garvey goal for the rest of the half.
However, Peter Richardson levelled the scores just before half-time with a great take and cool finish to slot the ball under the on-rushing keeper.
The score remained 2-2 at half time with Garvey somewhat surprised to still be in the game.

Garvey were then over-run continually for the remainder of the game but somehow Bangor failed to convert any of a number of great chances with the Garvey defence making tackle after tackle.
Just on the final hooter, another marauding run by Cockram led to a Garvey penalty corner which was again converted by Murray for a pleasing but very fortunate 3-2 victory.
The Fives know they will have to do better in the coming weeks.
