Narrow win for Banbridge

BANBRIDGE Ladies kicked off their netball Northern Ireland A2 League aganist Clann Eireann in St Peter’s GAA Club, Lurgan last Wednesday.

The locals had a strong start and led the match until half time (30-28) but a determined Clan Eireann started the third quarter strong and with a number of breaks in the Banbridge centre pass, took the lead at the end of the quarter (45-41).

After a team reshuffle going into the last quarter Banbridge defence came back stronger and picked up quite a few steals to give Banbridge an advantage and put them ahead by one goal.
