Narrow win for U12s

BANBRIDGE U12s secured a narrow victory over Ballyclare Comrades in this midweek league match.

In a scoreless first half, both sides traded chances, with Town’s best efforts coming from Andrew Wilson and Daniel Devline.

Banbridge went ahead 10 minutes after the interval when the Ballyclare keeper fumbled a shot from distance by Andrew Wilson following good approach play by Ryan Stevenson.

Town increased their lead soon after as Aaron Thompson latched onto a D’aire McCluskey through ball to accelerate through and then chip Messi-like past the hapless goal minder.

Ballyclare scrambled a goal late on to set up a tense finale but Town did enough to close out the game.
