Need to take their chances

THE Lurgan Town Mid-Ulster under 11 side travelled to play Armagh City on Saturday and lost 6-2.

The result doesn’t reflect the game itself as Lurgan dominated play. However in the coming weeks they will need to be more clinical in finishing off goalscoring opportunities. Also the defence will need to improve in picking up the opposition players and not leave them free.

Lurgan found themselves 3-1 down at half-time despite having numerous chances but the one goal scored by Josh Wells was of great quality when he cut in from the right and scored with his left foot.

The second half was similar to the first with chances not being finished and a lack of concentration in defence. Armagh scored a further three goals with Odhran Crozier getting on the scoresheet for Lurgan.

The early season form of Odhran Crozier has been excellent and he was awarded joint player of the day along with Conor Roberts.
