Neil catches 26 trout as lake thaws

THE two lakes at Islandderry Fishery in Dromore are now ice free and open and both are fishing well.

Neil Cardwell from Banbridge made up for not being able to fish by catching and releasing a total of 26 trout last Saturday, all caught on a cats whisker while John Dickson, Lurgan released nine trout on the bloodworm.

Paul Sinnamon, Blackskull, also had a good days fun on Monday releasing a total of 24 trout all caught on his own cats whisker pattern.
